Why should you get a ZonkBoard? Here's a list of things you should know.
NEW - Gravatar Support - Gravatar is the globally recognized avatar system used by numerous blogs and social media services. ZonkBoard now has an option to enable Gravatar support in the control panel. When activated it will display a gravatar image if an e-mail address is entered on the URL field of the tag.
Ease of Use - ZonkBoard is easy to use. Your users just type their name and the message they want to post and click the submit button. Could it be any easier? Oh, and if they have cookies turned on, it will even remember who they are!
Create Community - Users love toys to play with. ZonkBoard is a fun, cool way for your visitors to interact. Having a ZonkBoard will keep them coming back for more.
Works Anywhere! - ZonkBoard is a hosted service. It will work on ANY web site. All you have to do is put some HTML on your page and you're done.
Dress it Up - You have complete control over your ZonkBoard. You are the master. Use our spiffy control panel to customize your colors to match the rest of your web site.
Good Clean Fun - Every ZonkBoard comes complete with a profanity filter built right in. Most common profanity will be zapped on contact, unless of course you decide to turn it off.
Manage Entries - Did someone post something you'd rather not see? Somebody spamming your board? Check out details on your entries in our online control panel. Delete offending entries if you like.
Bad Guy Exposure - Ward off evil-doers by exposing their IP address for everyone to see!
Date/Time Stamped Messages - Everyone can see when each message was posted by simply holding their mouse cusror over them.
NO !@#$%^&* ADS! - ZonkBoard is supported by donations and paid upgrades to Ubër ZonkBoards, so we have no need for putting ads on the boards. Besides, the user is on YOUR site, not ours, so it's not our screen space to sell to advertisers anyway if you think about it. We do put a link back to our site, or a link to our Blog Tools page to help us promote our own service.
It Travels - Everything here supports unicode, so you can Zonk the night away in any language you want!
Intelligent Auto-Refresh - Your ZonkBoard will auto-refresh itself only when a new new message is posted. If a user clicks within any of the form fields, the refresh will be disabled so it will not refresh in the middle of typing a message.
Ban Users! - Is the spam mafia targeting your ZonkBoard? Exposing their IP address not bothering them? Stop them in their tracks by banning them from posting on your board.
Emoticons (Smilies!) - Over 150 icons will keep your visitors busy for hours at a time. No other similar service (that we know of anyway) offers nearly this many.
Archive Access - Free ZonkBoards are limited to 25 messages at any one time. Ubër ZonkBoards can store up to 1,000 messages, and you can choose how many of those will show up for your users. You will also be able to access the entire archive from the control panel.
Extra Display Options - Several more options including the ability to turn off "the link" and reverse the order of the message display.
E-Mail Notification - Don't like to check your own web site for new messages? Want to monitor conversations from a distance? No problem.. simply enable E-Mail Notification to have each new message sent to you via e-mail!
