Paul: Ahh Compendium closed. I didn't know. The best bookshop bar none in my opinion. Knowledgeable staff, and stuff you just couldn't find anywhere. What makes these shops is just browsing and finding things by happy accident.

Trevor Meldrew: Hi Tom in Denver, Glad you remember the Bass Clef, site of one of my great disappointments in live jazz. I turned up there in (I think) 1987 to see Andrew Hill & Joe Henderson. Gig was cancelled due to permit problems.
